Partnership Agreements

Synergy, Unity, Cooperation.  Conspicuously absent from many group practices is a well designed and articulated partnership agreement. While this provides ample fodder for consultants who swap stories of noxious disputes among provider partners, it can turn a great physician career sour and leave a significant dent in your life savings.

MPSG understands that a proper agreement among group practice partners should act as the source document outlining the responsibilities and rights of each group member. It should specify how the group makes decisions, management is distributed, conflict is resolved, providers are paid, owners are compensated, and how providers can buy in, buy out or exit the practice.

By clarifying and articulating the essential elements of provider working relationships, MPSG creates the critical structure by which the partners of the business abide, leaving nothing to chance or whim or individual preference. We will outline not only the revenue appropriations, but detailed expense allocations of all direct and indirect costs of the practice.

The result is an effective relationship forged among the partners - founded on common goals, a shared philosophy, inclusive governance, and sound decision making. The practice of each individual physician will then be aligned with the group as a whole.
